We announced on Sunday our desire to start the Point Dream Fund(PDF) to help us raise the additional resources necessary to accomplish the vision God has called us to.

We are living a God-sized dream! I am so honored and humbled to lead this amazing church. I can’t wait to see what we look like in 5, 10 or even 20 years!

Monumental Miracles

I have been really focusing on experiencing monumental miracles lately.  I have a pretty deep personal conviction: “God can do anything.”  I know it is pretty simplistic, but I am a simple guy.  As you look through the Bible you expose the ANYTHING GOD!  This is core to who the church is.

Here a big word: Omnipotent!  That means God is all-powerful!  There is no comparison point.  There isn’t even a close second!  God is able to do anything and everything.  Amazing!

Ephesians 3:20:  ”Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us …”

God is able to do anything ………………. through His power at work in us!

What monumental miracles am I praying for?

NCC ***unplugged***

Unplugged is a relaxed no-frills, weekend that will provide an opportunity for church planters and leadership teams to get an in-depth, behind the scenes look at National Community Church. Attendance will be limited, but the Q & A time won’t.

Hear the inside scoop from the NCC leadership team on how they: launch new locations; disciple and create community in a multi-site and theater church setting; provide ministry for kids and families in mobile environments; cultivate a missional community through local and overseas outreach; and much, much more. Hope for Haiti

I am honored and humbled to pastor such an amazing church. This weekend we raised over $3,200.00 to send to Convoy of Hope to help with the need in Haiti.  Why has The Point been so blessed?  Because we want to be a blessing!

We will be  releasing those funds today!

James 1:27: “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

Help with Haiti

We have an opportunity to join the relief efforts in Haiti.  The amount of human suffering has been unimaginable.

The Church has a responsibility in moments like this.

We will be receiving funds now through Sunday and releasing those funds on Monday in order to assist.  Please consider making a donation TODAY.  We would like to raise $2500 in the next few days.

Where will our resources go?
1.  To help send relief teams.
2.  To help send relief supplies (food, water, clothing, etc).

1st Sunday of 2010

I am so pumped about today’s service!  I seem to get excited about every service at The Point.  I guess that is because I LOVE MY CHURCH.  It’s true.  Love the people.  Love the passion.  Love the potential!

There will be a few things taking place today that have NEVER happened at The Point.  Don’t miss it!  All of them pre-planned!

Don’t let the frigid air keep you out of a blazing hot service today!!!!!

Our service will be filled with a load of challenges for a new decade!

Last Opportunity for 2009 Giving

What an amazing year 2009 has been!  God has definitely been with us!  Our church attendance has grown by 19%, 61 people have come to faith in Christ and 11 “took the plunge” in water baptism.  PointKids has nearly tripled in attendance.  We have given over $33,000 to Missions & Outreach.  Wow.  What a year!

We have also made some significant additions:

1. We hired 3 new Staff members (Administrative Assistant, Worship Arts Pastor & Assistant Pastor).

2. We secured office space in Westbury.

One of the highlights of 2009 was providing over 700 backpacks filled with school supplies to the student of Park Avenue Elementary in Westbury.  God has been using The Point far beyond Sundays!

Today is the last day that you can give toward your 2009 giving – which allows your donations to be used for 2009 tax purposes only!  Donations given after today cannot be credited for 2009.

Living Beyond Me Update

We are exactly one month along in our Living Beyond Me Special Offering.  We have a goal of raising an additional $40,000 for 2010.  We have raised almost 25% of our goal with about 10% of our church participating.

We can do anything when we do it together.  Let’s join together in this HUGE effort to make a larger impact on Long Island.  We can do this.

Living Beyond Me: Update

We are about 3 weeks into our Living Beyond Me Special Offering and we are starting to see the additional funds become to arrive.  In order for us to launch some new initiatives in 2010 we need to raise an additional $40,000.

These additional funds will go toward launching a new service, improving our children’s ministry space, upgrading some of our failing equipment and supporting some new missions priorities.
